Get a head start on summer with Prosecco and pitch in Hringiða

KLAK and the business accelerator Hringiða took advantage of the happiness and invited everyone to a Prosecco & Pitch day for the first day of summer at the famous green wall in Gróska, where investors, thirsty startups and the public listened to elevator pitches from start-up companies in Hringiða.

There was a lot of excitement and anticipation for the elevator pitches given by the start-up companies in Hringiða. In recent weeks, the companies have attended workshops, listened to lectures, met with selected experts from the KLAK, KLAK VMS mentor community and received training in performing. All of them have worked hard to bring their solutions, which really solve the environmental issues at hand, to a good start.

Freyr Friðfinnsson, KLAK's international representative, opened the event, welcomed everyone to Prosecco & Pitch and toasted the wands in Hringiða to the great joy of those present.

Hera Grímsdóttir, executive director of research and innovation at Orkuveita Reykjavíkur and Óli Örn Eiríksson, team leader of the City of Reykjavík's employment and urban development team, representatives of Hringiða's sponsors, took the stage and set the tone with interesting talks about the circular economy before the staff in Hringiða took over and gave elevator presentations.

The Hringiða accelerator, which is run for the third time this year, is managed by KLAK - Icelandic Startups, which for many years has provided assistance in the development of business ideas and brought together a group of business partners with value creation as a guiding principle. The focus in Hringiða's workshops is the circular economy, where methods are highlighted and new technologies are supported that ensure that resources are kept in the economy.
