Iceland's most talented and promising start-ups presented their business ideas to a full auditorium in Gróska on the main day of Startup SuperNova. After the shoots' presentations, they were thrown into a hell of a party at headquarters. KLAK in Sport, where one of the country's most popular musicians Emmsjé Gauti, the legendary Cell 7 trotted out and trilled the crowd. Investor Day as it is traditionally called at KLAK, exceeded everyone's expectations. Nova's representatives, Startup SuperNova's main sponsor, entrepreneurs, startups, mentors, and investors all welcomed food and drink.
Startup SuperNova, the accelerator, is a huge springboard for start-ups and an important platform for networking with industry players, experienced mentors and entrepreneurs who have knowledge and experience of the start-up and innovation environment. The aim of the accelerator is to support the further growth of companies related to ingenuity, innovation and technology. Nova is the main sponsor of the accelerator, which took place for the third time this year.
The grassroots has become immensely powerful and has KLAK established itself as a key player in the support environment for innovation in Iceland and has strived to be a leader in the grassroots entrepreneurial community. Heavy-duty women and men from the business world have been involved in the start-up environment from the beginning, and one of those who is familiar with it is Guðjón Már Guðjónsson, traditionally known as Oz, who took a position on the panel of Startup SuperNova and asked the shoots out along with Kristján Ingi Mikaelsson at MGMT and Jenný Ruth Hrafnsdóttir at Crowberry.
