The Hringiða accelerator, which is run for the third time this year, is managed by KLAK - Icelandic Startups, which for many years has provided assistance in the development of business ideas and brought together a group of business partners with value creation as a guiding principle. The focus in Hringiða's workshops is the circular economy, where methods are highlighted and new technologies are supported that ensure that resources are kept in the economy.

The owners of KLAK are the University of Iceland, the University of Reykjavík, Origo, the Swedish Confederation of Industry and the Innovation Fund. Hringiða's sponsors are the City of Reykjavík, the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate, Orkuveita Reykjavíkur, Faxaflóahafnir, Terra, Ölgerðin and the Swedish Confederation of Industry. Hringiða's partners are Rannís, Breið vejðurfélag, Evris, Sjávarklassinn, Orkuklassinn and Grænvangur.
