The final day of Smart Speech 2022 will be held on December 7th in Gróska's auditorium, where none other than Jón Gnarr will chair an event and present the powerful start-ups of Smart Speech on stage. The event is open to anyone who cares about the challenges of the community.
The shoots in Startup Social who have now gone through a 16-week community accelerator in care KLAK and Höfði Peace Centre, will come forward and present solutions to societal challenges.
– all have in common a desire to lead important social change!

The shoots featured are Ring Heat, Ylur, BioBuilding, Orb, Fort, On To Something, The Leaf, Idea Makers and Sara, a girl with ADHD.

Startup Social, the community accelerator, is a 16-week incubator that supports powerful teams burning for solutions to contemporary challenges. There can be solutions relating to health care, welfare technology, improved education systems and gender equality, for example. Startup Social was founded by Höfði Peace Centre in 2018 and has been run three times since its inception. The growth space is managed KLAK, in collaboration with MIT designX, is the focal point of the workshops where MIT professionals come to Iceland and share their knowledge.
