Over 800 guests filled Gróska's pedestrian street for the Gulleggisn science tour recently, where ClubDub, among others, performed.
The program began with Ásta Sóllilja at KLAK welcomed guests and introduced Loga Einarsson, Minister of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education, who delivered a powerful opening speech. Logi emphasized the importance of innovation in Icelandic business and encouraged the participants of the Gulleggis to pursue their ideas with ambition and perseverance.
Jenna Bjork then introduced the Golden Egg and its history, as well as the opportunities the competition has created for entrepreneurs in Iceland. After that, Telma Sif Buadóttir, a business development specialist at Landsbanki, spoke about Landsbanki's innovation efforts. She shared valuable insights into how the bank works with entrepreneurs to support the development of their ideas.
Anna Gudrun Gunnlaugsdottir, a certified public accountant at KPMG, took over and discussed the opportunities that come with working with KPMG. She emphasized that sound financial advice can be the key to transforming good ideas into successful business ideas.
Finally saw Ásta Sóllilja to close the program on stage before the Gulleggi University Committee introduced themselves and the program ahead up on Datagugata and introduced ClubDub to the game.
The atmosphere was light and constructive throughout, and guests were particularly pleased with how diverse and well-organized the program was. The science trip to Gróska proved once again how important Gulleggið is as a platform for innovation and networking in Iceland.
The event was undoubtedly an encouragement for those participating in the Gulleggin, and no less so for the guests who watched. It will be exciting to follow the continued progress of the participants' projects!
