KLAK – Icelandic Startups participates in Iceland Innovation Week 2024. There is a lot to see and a lot to listen to this week, and the KLAK team encourages all entrepreneurs, KALK alumni, investors and mentors from KLAK VMS who have access to Iceland Innovation Week to attend the events this week.

On the occasion of Gróska Day on May 14, which is part of Iceland Innovation Week, we at KLAK - Icelandic Startups will have a presentation stand of Startup SuperNova in Gróska. All entrepreneurs and curious people can ask our experts about the business accelerator.
This year, there will be an increased focus on teams that are developing solutions related to the telecommunications sector and 5G technology
Startup SuperNova is a joint project of KLAK - Icelandic Startups, Nova and Huawei with support from Gróska, where they strive to build business solutions intended for the international market.

Get ready to wrap up Iceland Innovation Week 2024 with a bang on Thursday May 16th – Silicon Vikings NEW NORDICS PITCH COMPETITION in Kolaportið.
Ten exciting Icelandic founders will take the stage and pitch their company to an international jury of investors.
The regional winner will participate in the Grand Final at Slush in Finland, in which they will compete to become the New Nordics Grand Champion. Don't miss out!
Iceland's top startup will battle it out for the coveted title of Icelandic champion in the New Nordics Pitch Competition Grand Final, with the winner selected by an elite international jury of visiting VCs from the US.

On the final day of Iceland Innovation Week, KLAK, in collaboration with Miele's innovation department in Germany, offers a sharp Masterclass on investment by larger companies in startups.
The purpose of the Masterclass is to introduce this financing option, which is not very developed in Iceland, and to show examples of how this has been successful. The goal is that over time this will become a clear option in the financing of start-up companies and part of the innovation strategy of larger companies in Iceland.
