Össur is the new sponsor of Gulleggsin, Iceland's largest entrepreneurial competition, but Hildur Einarsdóttir, manager of Össur's development department, and Ásta Sóllilja Guðmundsdóttur, manager of KLAK - Icelandic Startups, recently signed an agreement to that effect.
Gulleggið, which has been held by KLAK - Icelandic Startups since 2008, is one of KLAK's flagships and has established itself as one of the most popular entrepreneurial competitions in Iceland. The entire public is encouraged to take the first steps in the entrepreneurial community and transform an idea into a business opportunity by participating in Gulleggin.
Hilda Einarsdóttir, executive director of Össur's development department, has been contacted about the collaboration; "Innovation and entrepreneurial thinking have driven us forward since the foundation and play a significant role in the success of the company internationally. It is a real pleasure for us to support Icelandic entrepreneurs who will undoubtedly enrich the Icelandic business life in the future".
