TINC accelerator launches in Oslo

This week, the TINC business accelerator kicks off with pitch days in Oslo. TINC is a six-week accelerator developed by Innovation Norway and run in partnership with Vinnova, Business Finland and KLAK – Icelandic Startups.

The program now begins with introductory days in Oslo, continues with teleconferences in the fall, and concludes with an extensive program in Silicon Valley in November. Participants are given access to experts and investors from one of the world's most competitive innovation environments. The focus is on sharpening product-market fit, business models, and growth opportunities. In total, 278 Nordic technology companies have already gone through the accelerator.

This time, Sea Thru and Unnur Verk are participating on behalf of Iceland. But the accelerator has proven to be exceptionally successful for Icelandic entrepreneurs. Participation not only offers valuable guidance, but also builds a strong network between Nordic entrepreneurs. Participants are guaranteed access to mentors, investors and partners in Kísildalur that might otherwise be difficult to access on their own.

The importance of this platform has been demonstrated by the successful participation of Icelandic companies such as uiData and PLAIO, both of which have shared their experiences with the Icelandic startup community. It is pointed out that the biggest obstacle for Icelandic startups is often not the idea itself, but the path to a foreign market. By participating in TINC, teams are given easy access to the international market and valuable relationships

We look forward to watching this winter as Sea Thru and Unnur's work progresses through the accelerator.
