The most promising startups in Startup SuperNova

The most presentable and promising start-ups in Iceland presented their business ideas to a full hall in Gróska on the main day of Startup SuperNova. After the introductions of the wands, a wild party broke out at the headquarters of KLAK in Gróska, where one of the most popular musicians in the country, Emmsjé Gauti, the legendary Cell 7 stepped up and thrilled the crowd. The investor day, as it is traditionally called at KLAK, far exceeded everyone's expectations. Representatives of Nova, the main sponsor of Startup SuperNova, entrepreneurs, start-ups, mentors and investors all celebrated well with food and drinks.

Startup SuperNova, the startup accelerator, is a great springboard for start-ups and an important platform for building relationships with people in the business world, experienced mentors and entrepreneurs who have knowledge and experience in the start-up and innovation environment. The aim of the accelerator is to support the further growth of companies related to ingenuity, innovation and technology. Nova is the main sponsor of the accelerator, which took place for the third time this year.

The grassroots has become extremely powerful and KLAK has established itself as a key player in the support environment for innovation in Iceland and has made an effort to be a leading force in the grassroots of the entrepreneurial community. Heavyweight women and men from the business world have been adherents of the startup environment since the beginning, and one of them who knows it well is Guðjón Már Guðjónsson, who is traditionally known as Oz, but he took a position on the Startup SuperNova panel and asked the startups what they were up to together with Kristján Inga Mikaelsson from MGMT and Jenný Ruth Hrafnsdóttir at Crowberry.

Startup SuperNova is a joint venture between KLAK - Icelandic startups and Nova, which strives to build business solutions, but KLAK is owned by the University of Iceland, the University of Reykjavík, the Business Confederation, the Business Innovation Fund and Origo.
