Registration open for the Startup SuperNova Masterclass

The Startup SuperNova business accelerator will be run for the fourth time this year, but for that occasion an opening party was held in Nova's building, where Kolfinna Kristínardóttir, project manager at KLAK and Þuríður Björg Guðnadóttir, manager of Nova experience opened registrations for the Startup Supernova Masterclass. Three entrepreneurs who have been through the accelerator, Stefán Baxter, founder of Quick Lookup, Guðrún Ragnarsdóttir, founder of Keeps, and Jóhann Guðbjargarson, founder of Plaio, took the stage and spoke about their participation in the accelerator to a standing ovation.

"At Nova, we love great ideas and want to give the ideas of the future a chance to grow. That's why we're behind Startup SuperNova. We've said from the beginning that we love innovation, but innovation is actually not just something completely new, but also an opportunity to remake and redefine something that already exists. We are excited to start this accelerator in collaboration with Klak, who has tremendous experience in helping startups and leading this work.” says Úríður Björg Guðnadóttir, manager of Nova Experience.

Startup SuperNova's goal is to build business solutions for the international market and make them investable. Participation in the Masterclass is required for those companies that want to advance and apply to the accelerator itself. KLAK – Icelandic Startups, which oversees Startup SuperNova, is running a Masterclass in June where startups will receive training and guidance in preparing an eighteen-month action plan for their projects.

"We at KLAK are very excited to lead the work around Startup SuperNova in collaboration with Nova. This project is an extremely large and important support for start-ups who not only want to strengthen their network, but to grow and prosper once they reach the market. Masterclass Startup SuperNova is being held for the second time, which was very popular last year and is available again this year. Then anyone can register, but it is very important to register if the person wants to participate in the accelerator itself.” Says Kolfinna Kristínardóttir, project manager at KLAK.
