The closing ceremony of Startup SuperNova 2026 was held with great fanfare at Investor Day, where the solutions of nine ambitious startup teams were presented to investors, partners, and key players in the Icelandic innovation environment.
The program was moderated by Benedikt Valsson in a friendly atmosphere, and following the presentations, questions were asked by a panel of experts. The panel included Helga Valfells, co-founder of Crowberry Capital, and Einar Þór Gústafsson, investment manager at Brunnur Ventures.
It was a convincing demonstration of how the teams' ideas can grow into global solutions with real impact. A wide range of Icelandic innovation was showcased – from technology-driven linguistic solutions to projects that address pressing societal challenges – while the presentations highlighted deep knowledge and a strong vision for the future.
After the presentations, the program continued, with a great atmosphere maintained by Dóra Júlíu. An opportunity was given to network with investors and partners, where next steps were discussed and relationships deepened. Startup SuperNova is a six-week business accelerator run by KLAK – Icelandic Startups in collaboration with Nova and Huawei with support from Gróska.
Investor Day is not a marked end point, but rather a foundation for the next chapter. The knowledge, experience and relationships built through the accelerator will be utilized as the next steps are taken towards further funding and growth.
