KLAK Icelandic Startups presented the return of Startup Tourism and its arrangements this year in the ESSÓ museum at Skútuvog, while N1 is one of the business accelerator's partners.
Startup Tourism is a five-week business accelerator tailored to the needs of new businesses in the tourism industry. The goal is to encourage innovation in the field of tourism, strengthen the foundations of new companies, increase the number of recreational opportunities, promote the technologicalization of tourism and promote the distribution of tourists from all over the country, all year round.
Jón Viðar Stefánsson, director of the commercial department at N1, opened the presentation event, but he encouraged everyone to apply for the accelerator. We were joined by Kolfinna Kristínardóttir, project manager of Startup Tourism, and she went over the arrangements of the Startup Tourism accelerator 2024 and other practical issues.
Einar Skúlason, founder of Wapp, a former participant in Startup Tourism, told about his experience from participating in the accelerator with the caption, "How to use the toolbox of the business accelerator?"
Ásta Sóllilja Guðmundsdóttir, managing director of KLAK – Icelandic Startups reviewed how KLAK supports innovation in tourism and closed the event.
The Startup Tourism team will also be traveling the week of September 30-October 3 and will be holding promotional events around the country.
