Many hundreds of students get to know Gulleggið

Over 700 university students are registered in Gullegg's Science Trip, which is organized by KLAK - Icelandic Startups and will take place in Gróska next Friday. Gulleggið is the biggest and oldest entrepreneurial competition in the country and it is now taking place for the 16th time, but among the companies that have taken their first steps in Gulleggið we can mention Controlant, Meniga, PayAnalytics and Solid Clouds.

Gullegg's main sponsor is Landsbankinn, which has been involved in the project from the beginning, but other sponsors include the City of Reykjavík, HVIN, Marel, Origo, Advania, KPMG, Frumtak, Iðunn, Ölgerðin, Vörður, Hugverkastofa, Íslandstofa, Technology Development Fund as well as the University of Iceland and the University of Reykjavík.

Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir, Minister of Universities, Industry and Innovation will address guests in Gróska's festival hall. Representatives of Gulleggin's sponsors will give a presentation in Gróska's festival hall, together with Gulleggin's project manager, Ása María Þórhallsdóttir, and representatives of KLAK presenting and reviewing what is ahead in Gulleggin. University students, company representatives, entrepreneurs and start-ups come together to celebrate and get to know the activities of Gullegg, sponsors and partners, while interesting and luxurious stands will be located on Gróska's pedestrian street, which will make an impression on the science tour.

Úlfur Úlfur with the star duo Helga Sæmundi Guðmundsson and Arnari Frey Frostasyn will take to the stage in Gróska on Friday. Nothing will be spared this year and up to 700 people are expected to attend this year.

Gulleggið is done in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committees of HÍ and HR. Every year, Gulleggið gets cool people who are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, but Gulleggið is mostly managed by volunteers from the ranks of high school students.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Student Council has the task of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of the University of Iceland, and the committee works closely with KLAK - Icelandic Startups. What the committee places a lot of emphasis on and works hard on is introducing the students of the University of Iceland to the innovative and entrepreneurial opportunities that are available to them, so that they can make their ideas a reality and we can communicate KLAK's activities among university students.

One of the big projects that the committee works on and organizes together with KLAK is the science trip of Gullegg in Gróska, the largest entrepreneurial competition in the country, which will now be held on Friday in Gróska." according to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Student Council.
