A lively atmosphere was created in Gróska on May 6th when KLAK – Icelandic Startups hosted the Prosecco & Pitch event of Hringiðu 2026. Entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and innovation enthusiasts gathered there to listen to a variety of pitches from the accelerator participants.
The event gave the teams in Hringiða, all of whom work on developing environmentally friendly solutions, the opportunity to present their startups to guests, while sparkling wine and macarons were served.
Andri Ívars led the evening's program and played a few songs on guitar between pitches. Eldar Ástþórsson from Faxaflóahöfnir, who have been sponsors of Hringiða from the beginning, also gave a talk at the event. Among other things, he introduced the new passenger center Vör and his vision for the development of port areas and sustainable transportation.
The participating teams were Araxni, E-Lísa, IORDEN, Loopable, Ratatag, Soil Lagoon and Thermal Beets Records. The ideas spanned a wide range and well demonstrated the diversity that characterizes the participants of Hringið this year.
Hringiða is a business accelerator run by KLAK – Icelandic Startups that supports startups that develop green solutions and sustainable projects.
