Hrím aims to harness the benefits of using cold-active enzymes and biopolymers for industrial applications. Most enzymes used in industry today function at around 40-60°C, but as energy prices continue to increase we need to drop the temperatures, but we lose the enzymes function. That is where Hrím comes in with discovery and optimization of cold active enzymes that operate at 20°C or lower providing industries and consumers with low energy alternatives that perform just as well.
